Outlook: Top-seeded Hudson squares off with Iron Mountain in the opening round. The Tigers, who have advanced to the finals 13 of the last 14 years - winning nine of those - are the heavy favorites. The Mountaineers have four wrestlers ranked in the top-two and that could make for some very good matchups not typically seen in a 1 vs 8 dual. In the end, Hudson should advance with relative ease.

Outlook: Another mainstay in D4 is New Lothrop, who has advanced to the finals in seven of the past nine seasons. They enter unbeaten and will take on Martin/Climax-Scotts, who makes their first appearance since 2015. These teams saw each other twice during the year, both times in individual tournaments. While Team Hybrid has plenty of talent throughout their lineup, the Hornets roll out a veteran squad with no holes. If CMS is going to make it interesting, they'll have to pick up wins through the middle weights.

Outlook: This will be the third meeting between these two schools, with Bronson taking the first two by 26 and 27, respectively. Manchester has since added some pieces to their lineup and have gotten guys to their optimal weights. Bronson tied Hudson for the most state qualifiers in D4 with 12, so there is not really a good place to shuffle and flip matches from before. Look for the Dutchmen to close the gap, but more than likely Bronson's balanced lineup should carry them through to the semis for a second straight season.

Outlook: The Sharks look to build off of last year's semifinal run, entering as the second seed and taking on Benzie Central in the Huskies' first-ever quarterfinal. BC qualified 10 to the state tournament, so they most definitely will not be a pushover. St. Louis has the clear advantage in the lower weights and up top, but it could get very interesting through the middle. Look for the battle-tested Sharks to lean on their big point-scorers, as well as the experience of being in tough duals all season, to push them into the semis.
