For the 3rd straight year, we have 4 Michigan natives who have claimed All-American honors at the NCAA Division 1 Tournament.
Cameron Amine (DCC) of Michigan earned his 3rd straight All-American finish and second straight Top 4 finish with a great tournament that included wins over this year's Big Ten Champ Dean Hamiti of Wisconsin and 2021 NCAA Champ Shane Griffith of Stanford.
Max Dean (Lowell) of Penn State finished his career with a win over his former school, beating Jacob Cardenas of Cornell 4-2 to finish 7th. He ends his career as a 4x All-American, 2x NCAA Finalist, and was 2022 NCAA Champ.
Will Feldkamp (Dexter) of Clarion made earned his first All-American honor in his last year of eligibility and finished with a bang, pinning Gavin Kane of UNC in the 7th place match.
The 4th Michigander to All-American was Trent Hillger of Wisconsin who injury defaulted in his final match. Hillger ends his career as a 3x All-American.
Will Lewan and Mason Parris also finished on the podium for the University of Michigan. Lewan finished 8th at 157 for his second straight All-American finish while Parris will wrestle tonight for the NCAA Championship
