Michigan’s Women’s contingent once again put up an impressive showing at the Junior Duals in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  In Freestyle, Michigan Blue finished as National Runner-Up, going 6-1 overall and marking a second straight year earning a finals berth.  Michigan Red posted a 3-6 record and finished 23rd overall in a record field of 41 teams.

Michigan Blue entered as the 13-seed and proceeded to win its pool by knocking off Georgia Blue, Pennsylvania Blue, and Tennessee Red.  The win over 4th-seeded Pennsylvania proved to be the toughest as Michigan won eight of the 14 bouts, four of which were wins over ranked opponents by Sabrina Nauss, Tomasin Mair, Isabella Cepak, and Ryen Allen.  Rihanna Venegas sealed the dual with a tech fall in the penultimate match of the dual.

In the Gold/Silver pool the team posted three straight wins over Arizona Black, California Red, and Ohio Red, by margins of 17 or more points in each.  The most notable individual matchup among the three duals came when #1 Nauss bumped up to take on Savannah Isaac of Ohio, ranked #1 at 200 lbs.  Nauss, ranked 4th in the nation pound-for-pound, scored a first period fall over Isaac - a crowning achievement in a week that saw her pick up five ranked wins in total.

The title dual versus Missouri Fire was a back-and-forth dual throughout, with Missouri picking up eight wins to Michigan’s six.  Four matches featured ranked opponents; the teams split those two apiece.  Alissa Caltagirone picked up the lone upset win in the dual, teching #13 Jayci Shelton, 14-3.  

The two Michigan squads combined into one for the inaugural Greco portion of the tournament, where once again Michigan advanced to the Gold/Silver pool - this time picking up wins over Minnesota and Ohio Red, and falling to eventual-champion California Red.

In their final four duals, the team split 2-2 and posted victories over Texas Red and Kansas, while coming up short against Oklahoma Red and Colorado.  Only Michigan and Colorado had finished in the top-five in both styles.
