2024 GFC Participant Info

WEIGH INS
- All weigh-ins are held at Wings Event Center in “THE OVERLOOK”.  Use Door 12 for entry into “The Overlook” and see venue map at the bottom of this email for clarification.
- There is one required weigh-in for all participants, nobody has to weigh-in twice, even if competing in multiple divisions and/or on multiple days
- Wrestlers competing Sunday can weigh-in at any weigh-in time
- Note all weigh-ins are co-ed - wrestlers may not be nude or in underwear at weigh-ins or in the weigh-in area.  SINGLET or SHORTS must be worn!
- Wrestlers may step on and off as much as needed during the weigh-in time window, if a wrestler fails to make the weight they will be bumped to the next weight.
- There is no penalty for changing weights, we can make changes right at the scale
- There is no weight allowance of any kind

DIVISION CHANGES
If you emailed us a division change already: when weighing in, confirm that you are registered in the correct division

If you still wish to make a division change - you may do so at weigh-ins by going to the REGISTRATION TABLE near the front of the weigh in area

WALKUP REGISTRATION If a wrestler needs to register on site see the REGISTRATION TABLE

WEIGHT CHANGES will be made at the scale you do not need to do anything ahead of time.

GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS
All non-competitors pay for general admission.  Ticket prices are the same as the past:
-- Adult $25 single day/$40 Weekend.
-- Student $15 single day/$30 weekend

Advance ticket sales - Parents, coaches, and spectators can purchase admission tickets ahead of time online by clicking this link.  - This will save time Saturday and Sunday morning and a slight discount is in place for advance ticket sales.
On site ticket sales - you may also purchase tickets the morning of through the box office at the main entrance.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION
– The Main entry point will be the box office entrance (Doors 1 & 10) - see map at bottom of this email for clarification.
-- All spectators will be required to go through security metal detectors and bags will be subject to search upon entry.  For faster entry we recommend bringing no bags or smaller/clear bags to get through security as fast as possible.
-- There will be multiple doors available for entry, including lines designated for those with pre-purchased tickets as well as those with no bags for faster entry.
-- WRESTLERS will receive a band at weigh ins - do not lose this band it will be needed for entry Saturday and Sunday morning.  If your band breaks, keep it and bring to head table to replace.
-- WRESTLERS will have a separate entry door and wrestlers will be allowed to bring in bags with personal drinks and snacks
-- NO OUTSIDE FOOD will be allowed to be brought in by spectators
– On-site concessions will be available
-- Re-entry will be allowed if anyone wants to leave to get food and come back

COACHING INFORMATION
-- We do not require anything additional to coach (i.e special coaches passes or bands)
-- 2 people are allowed in the corner for each wrestler
-- Please help us limit congestion on the floor by clearing the floor area if your wrestler is not up or on deck
-- The ice arena glass will be down for ease of spectating from the stands
-- bout boards will be displayed to follow when your wrestler is coming up

LIVE VIDEO/SCORING COVERAGE
-- The entire tournament will be streamed on FloWrestling (CLICK HERE FOR LIVE STREAMS)
-- Bracketing and live match scoring will be available on TrackWrestling (CLICK HERE FOR BRACKETS/LIVE SCORING)

-- We are excited to welcome Rudis back as the official GFC Merchandise provider.  Be sure to stop by the Rudis booth for your offical GFC Apparel & Merchandise.  They will be located near the main entrance @ Doors 1 and 10.

Saturday
- Doors Open 7:30am
- 9am - HS Elite Division begins
      ** Note - 215, 285 wrestlers check email Friday night after weigh-ins for updates on later start times based on bracket sizes**
- 10am - Middle School Division begins

Sunday
- Doors Open 7:00am
- 8am - HS Varsity Division begins
- 10am - Girls & Elementary Divisions begin
