EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State wrestling coach Tom Minkel has announced the schedule for the 2014-15 season.

The Spartans will take on eight of the top-25 teams from last year, including a home dual against four-year reigning NCAA Champion Penn State and a total of seven top-25 teams from the Big Ten Conference. In all, Michigan State will take on six ranked teams in Jenison Field House.
The annual MSU Open marks the first competition of the season on Nov. 2. From there the Spartans travel to Ypsilanti on Nov. 15 for the Eastern Michigan Duals, which will include competition with Kent State, West Virginia, and Tennessee-Chattanooga. The Spartans will travel back to Eastern Michigan for a dual meet on Jan. 23.
Michigan State opens head-to-head competition on Nov. 21 by traveling to NCAA Championship runner-up Minnesota. The Spartans close out November on the 23rd with a dual against Iowa State at home.
December will include trips to Northern Illinois (Dec. 5) and Iowa (Dec. 6), as well as a bout at the Reno Tournament of Champions in Reno, Nevada, on Dec. 21.
Michigan State will host four duals in January starting with Bucknell on Jan. 4. The month will continue with Michigan on Jan. 11, Ohio State on Jan. 16 and Wisconsin on Jan. 25.
February marks the end of Big Ten competition, hosting Penn State (Feb. 1) and Nebraska (Feb. 8) and then traveling to Indiana (Feb. 13) and Purdue (Feb. 15). The Spartans will then host back-to-back duals on Feb. 20 and 21 against Duke and Central Michigan respectively.
The Big Ten Championships will be hosted by Ohio State in Columbus on March 7 and 8 and the NCAA Championships will take place March 19-21 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri
