Recap: It was almost a perfect starting weight for Three Rivers, as they jumped out to a 16-10 lead through 5 matches. However, Lowell went on a 45-3 run to end the dual, sending the Red Arrows back to the state finals. The Wildcats picked up pins fro Louis Smith and Sam Reynolds, plus a major decision from Jaxon Smith to build a lead. Lowell would then win every remaining ranked matchup, with most of them by bonus points. Lowell will see #7 Fowlerville in the finals in pursuit of their 12th straight state title.
Recap: #7 Fowlerville continues their Cinderella story with a win over #3 New Boston Huron in the semifinals. After upsetting the #2 seed last night, the Gladiators picked up another win over a higher-seeded team. It was an ideal starting weight for Fowlerville, as they expected bonus points at 175 through 285. Sure enough, they took a 21-4 lead into the lower weights. Big pins from Matt Jeffrey and Alex Loomis in the middleweights sealed the dual for Fowlerville. They'll take on #1 Lowell in the finals.
Recap: Dundee was about as dominant as it gets, picking up a 72-0 win over #4 Allegan. We knew Dundee would win soundly, but there was a chance for Allegan to pick up a few wins. However, Dundee spread out their lineup and won the few swing matches, sending them to another state final. Dundee had 6 pins and 6 techs in the dual. Dundee will see #2 Yale in today's finals.
Recap: A fantastic dual here, and #2 Yale did everything they needed to do to roll to the finals. After Lakewood's massive win over Whitehall in the quarterfinals, it seemed like Lakewood could make this a competitive dual, but Yale won the big swing matches like Spain over Everett and McClelland over Stamm (both by pin). Yale will now make their first-ever finals appearance against #1 Dundee.
